SCBWI Metro New York is a chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators, a professional organization for writers and illustrators of children's books. SCBWI members who live in New York City, Long Island and parts of the counties directly north of New York City are automatically members of the Metro New York chapter. We are happy to be here and to offer a variety of events and services.

Metro Mixer - New Year, New Visions

Please join us on Tuesday, January 24th from 6 to 8-ish pm at The Galway Hooker, 7 East 36th Street, for SCBWI Metro NY's next METRO MIXER. Start 2012 with an inspiring evening of informal schmoozing and fun with your fellow SCBWI members and other great friends of books for children. We will have icebreakers, resolution buddies, and critique group sign-up sheets for writers and illustrators and, as usual, wonderful door prizes! Admission is free.
