Setting the Scene with Ruta Rimas

A constructive dialogue about better, believable world-building in Middle Grade and YA, by looking at specific examples and applying the techniques to your own work.
Ruta Rimas is an editor for the Atheneum and Margaret K. McElderry imprints at Simon & Schuster, for which she edits picture books, middle-grade novels, and teen novels for both. Ruta loves characters that come to life on the pages, stories that resonate long after the last page is read, and fiction that challenges our preconceived notions of the world.
