The Welcome Lady
Melanie Hope Greenberg has been a member of the SCBWI since 1990. Three years into her participation, she became Metro NY's "welcome wagon". Sending a warm letter, she welcomes each new member by introducing them to the chapter's activities such as our Tuesday Professional Series.
Melanie has illustrated fourteen children's picture books, five of them she wrote. She is also an artist for the Children's Defense Fund, UNICEF, AFL-CIO, Southern Poverty Law Center and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Melanie travels throughout the United States presenting her author-illustrator workshops for elementary students through adult teachers and published artists/ writers at schools, libraries, conferences and museums.
