Regional Advisor Emerita
Vicky has published picture books, middle grade novels, and pieces in anthologies. She was a full-time teacher in New York City Public Schools and now substitutes. Growing up in Michigan's lake country, she loves wetlands, rivers, beaches, swimming, and walking along the sand. New York City offers her museums, exciting performances and lectures, and world-class exchange of ideas. Since a Brazilian foreign exchange student lived with her family, she has been entranced by South America. Vicky is close to her family and many childhood friends. She considers her best quality, the ability to "spot" people. As RA, she selected the many talented people who staff the Metro New York Committee. When the Chapter started, she tried to meet every member from the five boroughs, Long Island and three upstate counties. Now, as Regional Advisor Emerita, she continues to meet chapter members and acts as an advisor to the Chapter's Regional Advisors.
